The Yoga Counserlor offers a variety of programming, including consultation for individuals and educational institiutions interested in implementing yoga & mindfulness curricula, SEL-themed workshops, individual and group yoga classes, and wellness retreats for educators, students and athletes.
Social-emotional learning & Self care strategies
Many states across the country are recognizing the need for a more holistic approach to learning and committment to self-care through the development of state standards for social-emotional learning. The Yoga Counselor creates customized presentations and professional development workshops for school districts, institutions for higher learning, and educators interested in implementing SEL-aligned yoga and mindfulness practices for self-care and the classroom.
Workshops & Retreats
Throughout the school calendar year we will announce themed workshops, local camps and global retreats for educators and teens to explore yoga and mindfulness practices for self care and exploration. These experiences are intentionally designed through a trauma-informed lens to create a supportive community and allow space for reflection and transformational experiences that encourage participants to disconnect from technology and reconnect with nature, oneself and their communities.
Private yoga classes
Private classes allow for space to the individual to discover the foundation of yoga, breathwork and mindulness practices. Classes are designed to regulate the nervous system by shifting from the sympathetic (fight or flight) to the parasympathetic (rest and digest) state. With the pressure and demands of students and teachers on the rise, The Yoga Counselor shares self-care practices that can empower young people and educators to emotionally regulate oneself and feel more balanced in their mind, body and spirit.
yoga for athletes
We offer customized yoga classes for sports teams designed to help sports-specific muscle groups, build strength and lung capacity, increase focus and concentration and support athletes maintain better balance, strength, flexibility and focus for peak performance on the court, field and classroom.
